Please ignore three year old little girl in the background who needs to pee in the gwass! Rhett loves swimming! He is getting up there at the ripe old age of 8! The early signs of hip dysplasia are setting in. We took him to Neeses for a fun filled vacay of his normal lazing around. It is approximately 5 days after vacay and Rhett is still not fully recovered! Poor thing!

Raindrops

If all the raindrops Were lemondrops and gumdrops
Oh, what a rain that would be!
Standing outside, with my mouth open wide
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
If all the raindrops Were lemondrops and gumdrops
Oh, what a rain that would be!
If all the snowflakes Were candy bars and milkshakes
Oh, what a snow that would be!
Standing outside, with my mouth open wide
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
If all the snowflakes Were candy bars and milkshakes
Oh, what a snow that would be!
If all the sunbeams Were bubblegum and ice cream
Oh, what a sun that would be!
Standing outside, with my mouth open wide
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
If all the sunbeams Were bubblegum and ice cream
Oh, what a sun that would be!

I ate Ice Cream for dinner....nanny nanny boo boo
Sorry felt a little immature there! I upheld my promise by eating ice cream for dinner last night! Yee Haw! Last night rates as one of the best evenings I have had in a while. Not only were there friends, music, laughing, and great conversation there was sundae royal(e)'s (insert snap)! It's much fancier than calling it a plain ole royal sundae! I rode with my mother and Jayne to the super fabulous Kershaw County Show Choir Spring Showcase, this was a fantastic decision! We went with Laresa for ice cream afterwards, another fantastic decision. I watched the most talented performers and was amazed at the beauty. Each and every one of them was so beautiful it radiated out of their bodies. They were all from different backgrounds, different shapes, sizes, colors, creeds, and religions. Yet, all had the most beautiful souls that shone through in their love for singing. I was blown away! Mari, Tony, Jessica, and Sharon were so fabuloous! It was fun to watch them sing their hearts out. I felt like a proud MaMa even though none of them are my children! Some notes from the performance:
1. West ( I believe it is)- I must find out where you get your hair done because its super awesome! Also, he should really consider auditioning for Eclipse. He would make a great vampire with that baby face and cool bone structure!
2.Tony- SHOWSTOPPER
3.Mari-SHOWSTOPPER/HAM she looked so beautiful and nice booty shakin!
4.Jessica and Sharon- It was great to see a different side of the girls. They are typically very serious (atleast around me) it was great to see the loose, fun side!
5. All of the others were fantastic too! The personalities were fantastic!
One of the most amazing parts of this is there is no funding! DO WHAT? Yes, the director and most likely the parents have to come out of pocket for expenses. The students do not receive any high school credit, etc. They do it for the love of music and performing. It reminded me of when I was in high school and in drama. Zero funding! We built our own sets out of donated supplies and recyclables. We scrounged through the fine arts center, thrift stores, and our homes to find costumes. It was frustrating, but well worth it. It was difficult because the community doesn't emphasize the performing arts the way it should be. One year we had about 2-3 boys audition for a musical about a FOOTBALL TEAM! So, all the girls had to be football players (including yours truly) while the few boys accepted the lead male roles! Good thing it was a comedy! When I was in Grease we had more boys audition, but the guys that had great singing voices didnt audition. So one boy carried the powerful songs in the whole production. We had to ham up the bad singing and make it look like it was on purpose! Enough of that though! Great job everyone on the concert and I'll keep you updated on my ice cream meals! Hee Hee

Ice Cream
I hereby declare that one day a week, ice cream must be eaten for dinner. That is my rule. You must obey! The mother/daughter ice cream social was fantabulous (oh yeah, I went there)! My friend Jamie came with me and her daughter Hannah. We all had a blast! So, we decided it is official! Ice Cream for dinner once a week. It is good for the soul. Goodness knows we all need something that is good for the soul. Tell your families, no spaghetti tonight, no health food either! WE ARE EATING ICE CREAM UNTIL WE POP! Dont you agree?

All Things Bright and Beautiful
All things bright and beautiful,All creatures great and small,

All things wise and wonderful:

The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.
The purple headed mountains,
The river running by,
The purple headed mountains,
The river running by,The sunset and the morning
That brightens up the sky.

The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one.
The tall trees in the greenwood,
The tall trees in the greenwood,
The meadows where we play,
The rushes by the water,

To gather every day.
He gave us eyes to see them,
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.
