The Weekend
We started off our weekend at the Relay for Life's walkathon with Melanie's team "Ladies stuck in the 80's". It was a blast. I was disappointed of the number of folks who actually turned out. I thought there would be more. It was so awesome/emotional to watch Melanie carry the banner on the first lap which was the survivors lap. She is such a great example and a champion! The next lap was for the caretakers. Phil and the boys walked proudly beside their Mom with pink, green, and sparkly hair. Kevin's sister Michelle came with her kids and Alan, Shairee(sis in law) and the kids came as well. Their were plenty of friends there to support Melanie and other cancer survivors as well. It was fun to see all the "girls" from back in the day! The kids were great and enjoyed the bouncy house, and Kevin and I enjoyed a chair massage while there. We left around 845pm because the kids were getting so sleepy. Saturday was a quiet day for us. Kevin helped Shairee move some and Anna and I planted flowers and rested. The cold bug has caught up to us AGAIN. Kevin and I trying to recover from being sick and the children just catching it for the first time. We rested on Sunday and took lots of cold medicine and went through more tissue than the national debt! Hunter didnt like catching a cold. He said he didnt want a cold but he caught one anyway! Poor guy sounds miserable. We got the full update from Mom of the goings on at church and Hunter is excited that Brother Parrott will be his new primary teacher. It was a great, quiet weekend for our little family and it was wonderful (except for the snot)

which Hunter replied, "Mom, why you talkin like England?" And Kevin because he IS my knight in shining armor!
